How we work
Disclosure
Who pays for this site, what a “Partner” label means, and the line we do not cross.
In short
Updated 24 Oct 2026. Vietnam Sports Events is an independent guide. We are not a race organiser, we do not sell race entries, and nobody can pay us to change race information or a review.
This page sets out how the site is funded and how that money is kept away from what we write. If something here is unclear, write to us.
Not the organiser’s channel
We are not produced, endorsed or approved by any race organiser, title sponsor, city authority or federation. Race names, sponsor names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify the event.
We build every guide from the organiser’s own published documents, from public sources and from runners who have done the race. When our guide and the race website disagree, the race website is the authority. Each guide lists its sources and a “Still to confirm” section for anything we could not verify.
What a “Partner” label means
Partner
A business we have a paid or in-kind arrangement with, for example a hotel, a transport service or a race-travel company. Anything involving a Partner carries the word “Partner” next to it, every time.
Affiliate link
Some links, such as travel insurance or eSIMs, may earn us a small commission if you buy. The price you pay does not change. Affiliate links are marked where they appear.
Organiser lists
Hotels or services an organiser recommends are reported as the organiser’s list. Unless we say “Partner”, we have no commercial arrangement with them.
The line we do not cross
- We do not accept money, free entries or gifts in exchange for changing race information, a rating, a ranking or a recommendation.
- Partners do not see or approve guides before they are published.
- If we make a mistake, we correct it and note the date of the correction on the page.
- If we ever receive a free race entry or hosted trip to research a guide, the guide says so at the top.
