Dalat Ultra Trail is one of Vietnam’s longest-running and biggest trail events, with seven distances from 5 km to 160 km across three days, based at the Valley of Love (Thung Lung Tinh Yeu) on the northern edge of Da Lat. The one thing to plan around: your race day and your kit pickup day depend on your distance, and the two longest races start on Friday afternoon and evening. Check your own start before you book flights.

Upper age limit of 65

The 21K runs on two days
It is split into two waves on consecutive days to spread out the field. Make sure you know which day you entered.
Family tickets
Available for the 5K.
Registration runs until 28 February 2027 through the organiser’s ticket partners (Actiup, iRace and Enjoy Sport). Early bird prices run until 13 November 2026, with higher regular and late phases after that. Entry includes an event shirt, a finisher medal and finisher shirt, an e-certificate, timing chip, bag drop, aid stations, medical support and accident insurance.
Collect your race pack
Pack collection is at the Race Expo, TTC World – Valley of Love, 3, 5, 7 Mai Anh Dao Street, Lam Vien Ward.
Bring two things:
Your passport
Your photo ID at the counter.
Your QR code
Emailed to you at registration, on your phone or printed.
Someone else can collect for you if you complete the online authorisation sent to your email at least five days before the event. Your collector brings your ID or passport and their own (hard copy or digital), plus your QR code.
The schedule is generous: three collection days, open until 22:00 on Friday and Saturday. Collect on Friday if you can, to keep race eve calm.
Mandatory gear
Trail races in Vietnam usually require a gear list, and longer distances may check it at pack collection or on course. The 2027 list for each distance has not been published in a form we can quote. Read the rules and regulations on the organiser’s event page before you pack, and assume the night-time distances (160K and 110K) will need headtorches, warm and waterproof layers and a phone.
Getting there
Da Lat sits at about 1,500 m in the Central Highlands.
Fly via Ho Chi Minh City
International runners usually fly into Ho Chi Minh City and then take a domestic flight to Lien Khuong Airport, about 30–40 minutes by road from Da Lat.
Or go by road
Six to seven hours by road or sleeper coach from Ho Chi Minh City.
Check the airport is open
Lien Khuong was temporarily closed during the 2026 race period, so confirm flights are operating before you book.
Early starts
The Valley of Love is a few kilometres north of the city centre on Mai Anh Dao Street. Grab and Xanh SM both operate in Da Lat. For 03:00–05:00 starts, book transport the evening before or stay close to the venue.
The course
Dalat Ultra Trail runs through the Lam Vien plateau around Langbiang, with pine forest, grass hills, streams and long climbs. In 2026, about 90% of the course ran through forest around Langbiang.
The 160K and 110K take runners through one or two nights in the forest, while the 15K and 5K are built as an easy introduction to trail running.
Course maps and elevation profiles for 2027 are published by the organiser. Check the climb as well as the distance: on Da Lat trails, time on feet matters more than pace.
Weather and altitude
1,500 maltitude, with cold nights in the forest
Late March is the end of the dry season in Da Lat. Days are warm, roughly upper 20s °C in the sun, while nights and early mornings in the forest are cold. Runners on the overnight distances should expect a big temperature swing. Arrive a day or two early if you are coming from sea level.
Where to stay
The Valley of Love area and the northern side of the city are the most convenient for early starts.
Central Da Lat around Xuan Huong Lake is a short ride away and has more choice. The race brings thousands of runners and families to the city, so book early.
Same weekend, different race. The Danang International Marathon runs on Sunday 21 March 2027: a flat beach marathon at sea level. See our Danang guide.
Rules worth knowing before you travel
Most of these are standard. The age cap is not.
Race entries are non-refundable
Requests to transfer or change distance must be sent by email by 23:59 on 28 February 2027, with the race code DUT2027 and the request type in the subject line.
Only you can run on your BIB
Use the official transfer process if you cannot race.
Age limits from 14 or 18 up to 65
Depending on distance.
UTMB Index and ITRA, but no Running Stones
Dalat Ultra Trail is a UTMB Index and ITRA race, but not part of the UTMB World Series, so it does not award Running Stones.
